Shadi Ismail is a strategy, business planning, and project management professional with nearly 20 years of experience spanning engineering, construction, real estate development, management consulting, and corporate strategy and planning.
What distinguishes Shadi’s courses is the connection between professional standards and real-world practice. His goal is simple: to help professionals not only earn the certification, but also understand how to apply what they learn when they return to the workplace.
Shadi began his career after earning a bachelor’s degree in engineering, joining an international construction firm in the Middle East as a Project Engineer. Over the following decade, he progressed through increasingly senior roles across construction and real estate development, ultimately reaching the position of Project Manager. During this period, he had the opportunity to contribute to major developments, including giga-projects and several complex, one-of-a-kind initiatives.
Building on his project delivery experience, Shadi transitioned into management consulting, joining one of the Big Four firms in the Middle East. For four years, he specialized in strategy execution and worked on multimillion-dollar engagements with government and semi-government entities. His work focused on helping organizations translate strategic ambitions into executable programs, initiatives, and measurable outcomes.
For the past five years, Shadi has held senior business and corporate planning roles within one of the region’s largest organizations. His responsibilities include leading strategic and corporate initiatives, translating strategy into executable portfolios, programs, and projects, developing KPIs and performance frameworks, overseeing annual planning and budgeting, and providing executive leadership with clear insights into performance gaps, risks, and recommended actions.
Alongside his professional career, Shadi has continuously invested in professional development. He earned his Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification in 2016, followed by the PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)®, PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)®, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)®, and PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)® certifications. In 2022, he achieved two of PMI’s most advanced credentials: the Program Management Professional (PgMP)® and Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP)®. He has also earned certifications in strategy execution and performance measurement, as well as the PRINCE2® Practitioner certification.
